Volunteers are one of the reasons that the Sierra Club can often be effective as a grassroots conservation organization. Volunteer opportunities vary from one local group to the next, but each individual group (such as our Tuolumne Group of the Sierra Club) depends upon volunteers to function.
The key volunteer opportunity with the Tuolumne Group is for interested members to give time and energy to help organize activities, schedule monthly programs, sponsor outings, send out a newsletter, and present scholarships to college students pursuing conservation careers.
